They claim that persons were injured by the Funk the War, when the only people who were injured at our event were injured by the overzealous police. Join Students for a Democratic Society in Washington DC for a roving, anti-war, dance party protest at 3:00 PM on Thursday March 19th to FUNK the War 6th Anniversary Edition!

Take to the streets of DC in a raucous display of student power against the corporations and war profiteers responsible for promoting and funding the Iraq War. We will be dropping our beats and sweet dance moves on the war machine's favorite companies and think tanks to let them know that we've had enough of them profiting off of their wars.

We will be in DC to disrupt business as usual in recognition of 6 years of brutal war and occupation in Iraq and the escalation of the war in Afghanistan.

So put on your dancing shoes, and come meet SDS in Franklin Park at 3:00 PM on Thursday March 19th to FUNK the War 6th Anniversary Edition!

DC SDS has formally agreed to a solidarity statement with the Self-Described Anarchist Collective, who will also be staging an action on March 19th. You can read this solidarity statement here.
